This is not a bug, but knowing that Braxton specialised in Katana, i gave him the Katana in the Mindflayer's Armory and the text spoke of him using his axes to kill the elder brain.
The drown that recruited me died on the matron assault (because he just loves standing on a triple blade barrier...) - had no means of ressurection and when on - the next conversations mentions him alive and is bronken
When entering House Devir grounds, the gate acted funny - it constantly opened and closed and I could pass through it without getting the area transition. I didn't even notice it was supposed to be an area transition. I could open all doors on those structures but couldn't enter. I've thought I've hit a show stopping bug, so I've tried going to those minor houses to see if I missed anything but the are transition worked when I tried to leave.
ADVICE: It might be better to delete those building in the Drow city so it's clear there's supposed to be in another area.
When you are in the slave market in the beginning, if you press the continue dialog button before the next person to talk walks up, the conversation just stops and cannot be continued.
When the drow attack the Myconids, it's not hard to save nearly all of them just by putting a globe of darkness on the whole group, then using a speed potion to kill all the assassins. Even though they are supposed to be dead - as indicated by conversation - they clearly aren't. Maybe you could have them be dead already as we enter the cave. Alternatively, just add a little something if you do manage to save them! More mushroom glob dinner as a reward!
One thing that made the Illithid escape difficult for me is that I only had a Lore of 4--I had been relying on companions to identify things for me. So, neither of the rings nor the keen Greatsword were available for me to use. Without beefed-up defenses against "brain extraction," I had to basically reload through the cocoons to get the goodies, but avoid the death-inducing encounters.
"The Hunter" could use a higher concentration score for his arena fight with the drider. He starts to cast invisibility but keeps getting interrupted by the drider - this goes on a looong time if you're unlucky. It becomes kind of obvious he's supposed to win after he's been "near death" for over a minute.
When fighting against the creature that looked like sea hag (the one that you have to burn), the first time, after its health reached 'near death', it didn't pass out and kept attacking me. I have to load it again then everything went well.
Rescuing Tessa, She says the script from the beginning at the docks. Also, I would have expected a hug with a BIG kiss for rescuing her, being I am her girlfriend.
I realized that when I built it. It's a death script to kill the Pech but for some reason it gives the PC experience and I'm not sure why. I don't know any other way to make the Pech die.
Occasional incorrect henchman's stats on character screen it's bug of NWN, not a module related. If to check PC stats before henchman's, all is displaying correctly. Reload also helps. Overall, this bug can easily disregarded since in combat calculations NWN uses real stats in any case.
When attacking house DeMizzare two of my party members (one of the two house guards and the assassin) do not react to commands (follow, attack nearest). They will attack when an enemy is in sight but otherwise they just stand and do nothing. I played twice and this happened both times.
All the drow are lawful evil. Shoudn't they be chaotic evil?
Not a bug but perhaps when taking the matron's head the head could be removed from the corpse as well.
Not a bug as well but before returning to house Devir the surving party members (but Xanderfein) should be removed from the party. I doubt Matron SinDreeza would celebrate the victory together with bugbears.
There's a nameless mindflayer in the arena in the fight between The Hunter and the drider. He joined the fight at some point and started attacking the drider.
I'm finding Ickarus a real pain in the ass. As soon as he appears in my screen, he shoots his ray and I need to pass 3 saving throws.
Most of the time I end up frightened, or at the very least, knocked down. By the time I can start attacking, Xanderfein is already dead, and since I don't have any way of resurrecting him, it's reload time.
I've tried summoning a spider with the amulet, sending Xanderfein first (which means he dies even sooner), but in the end, it's just a matter of reloading and pray that I have a chance of reaching and killing him before he disables me or kills my companion.
Most of the magic items I've found so far in the Everdark are unidentified and I have no means to change that. If some of them can help in this fight somewhat, I just can't use them.
Well, I managed to approach him by casting Darkness with the house symbol, and then Harm with the amulet. He still cast a ray at me before that, though, so I guess I got lucky.
Ongoing Chapter 3, ive just finished the attack on House De'Mizzare and Celebrated and all that, coming to the House Devir quarters and having spoken to Xanderfein about escaping, the door is locked and i cant damage it, when i use Debugmode to destroy the door in the hopes of getting out, there is no transition, Am i boned??
While serving in the Mindflayer Lair until disguising as Drow, my PC appeared to still wear her Helmet(inventory was empty, though)

ReplyDeleteAt the Everdark slave market there is a guy named "Hooded Figure hoodedfigure".
ReplyDeleteThe drown that recruited me died on the matron assault (because he just loves standing on a triple blade barrier...) - had no means of ressurection and when on - the next conversations mentions him alive and is bronken
ReplyDeleteJust saw that you HAVE to ressurect them on the main page.... expected bug later then sorry.
Deletein the matron's bedroom just one or two areas earlier(you have to bash the door)is a resurrection scroll

I'll agree with that one. The same thing with me, only my glady got stuck in the gate somehow and I had turn of the game and reload.
DeleteSame here,, But I reclicked it and it worked.
DeleteDuring attack on rival drow house you can pass through the fence on the left side and get to the two inaccessible buildings in the back.
ReplyDeleteThe "Destroy house Wasstheirname" quest doesn't get removed from journal.
ReplyDeleteWhen you are in the slave market in the beginning, if you press the continue dialog button before the next person to talk walks up, the conversation just stops and cannot be continued.
ReplyDeleteI'm having the same issue.
DeleteI can confirm this.
DeleteThose persons should be closer or they should start walking towards Sierra earlier.

Another bug I encountered in this fight is that Tessa begins to attack myconids, probably because kings area attack makes her hostile.
DeleteThe Illithid escape fights really need to be toned down. I've had to reload a dozen times because Braxton keeps dying.
ReplyDeleteNOOOOOO! This and the beholder fight are among few real challenges for a well built gladiatrix. We need more of those.
DeleteWell, battle with beholder actually easiest fight in the module, thanks to "harm" spell from amulet.

I never saw Braxton (and Tessa also) using class spells, and he immediately charged into melee combat with drider.
ReplyDeleteIn House Devir Gauntlet, redback spider somehow neutral, it's a normal?
Almikh
Spiders are sacred to the drow, it's a crime to kill them. I guess you would fail the gauntlet if you kill it (haven't tried it).
DeleteA bad, bad thing will happen if you right-click-kill the spider in the gauntlet.
DeleteWhen fighting against the creature that looked like sea hag (the one that you have to burn), the first time, after its health reached 'near death', it didn't pass out and kept attacking me. I have to load it again then everything went well.
ReplyDeleteIf Braxton dies during your last Arena Combat you can talk with te Ithilid and goes back to your room, but you get stuck there.
ReplyDeleteAnd in the God Brain massage scene if you navigate fast through the script you get stuck in teh room.
My protagonist stays drow colour after she has had the ointment applied.
ReplyDeleteRescuing Tessa, She says the script from the beginning at the docks.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I would have expected a hug with a BIG kiss for rescuing her, being I am her girlfriend.
After saving the myconid, the myconid king don't speak to me.
ReplyDeleteWhen I speak for the ithilyd for the first time, I have no equipment but my face is still hiding by my gladiatrix helmet.
ReplyDeleteWhen I reload, the problem disapairs
DeleteWhen I played, Sierra got XP when the illithid killed Pech. Somehow, that doesn't seem right...
ReplyDeleteI realized that when I built it. It's a death script to kill the Pech but for some reason it gives the PC experience and I'm not sure why. I don't know any other way to make the Pech die.
DeleteI looked at Xanderfein's stats, and they were straight 8's. Again, that somehow doesn't seem right...
ReplyDeleteReally weird. I checked and every instance of Xanderfein is set to 14,16,14,10,10,10. Dexterity will be higher from leveling.

If one rushes through the dialogue of the slave seller, the buying drow script won't fire.

ReplyDeleteDuring the attack on the house DeMizarre, some of my henchmen remain by the area entrance after each transition, instead of following me.

DeleteXanderfein unequipped his armour after leaving the Everdark, for some reason.
DeleteHowever, he doesn't remove it when you're applying him the oil.
